Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work Keck Human Rights Clinic is a branch of the Keck Human Rights Clinic at the University of Southern California.
Along with the Keck School of Medicine student board, the SDP branch works alongside to coordinate and assist with forensic psychological evaluations as well as provide training to MSW students on the legal process immigration and technical affidavit writing.

SOCIAL JUSTICE

Members of the USC-Keck Human Rights Clinic advocate on behalf of asylum seekers by providing pro bono forensic medical and psychological evaluations to corroborate claims of maltreatment.

EDUCATION

Medical and Master of Social Work students are given the opportunity to assist with forensic evaluations and report drafting, allowing students to gain experience as advocates for health and human rights. Students also learn about global issues and cultural competence through assisting with these examinations.

FORENSIC EVALUATION TRAINING FOR MSW STUDENTS

The heart of the SDP-Keck Human Rights Clinic is providing pro-bono forensic mental health assessments for immigrants seeks asylum. MSW student case managers with specialized training coordinate legal cases, shadow forensic interviews, and help write affidavits.

Any student from the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work can join the student interest group and participate in our advocacy meetings and off campus events as well as attend any brown bag or training provided on campus.
